trust recession

I just wrapped up a big launch for an agency client.
We spent $100k on ads and helped bring in $600k in sales.
She was thrilled…
Despite having several launches that exceeded this number last year.
Why?
Well, because according to her…
We’ve entered a “trust recession.”
Which I think is a brilliant take.
You see, the market has been flooded with new advertisers, offers, and funnels over the last 6-8 months…
Many of which overpromise then underdeliver.
So with increasing numbers of consumers feeling burned or scammed…
(and without the pleasure of saving a member of Nigerian royalty from ruin, no less)
… it’s made people less trusting.
They need more time and more exposure to you before pulling the trigger.
Even compared to a year ago.
And especially when investing in a high-ticket program.
Now, for most online experts, this is a big problem.
It lengthens the sales cycle…
And complicates the marketing process.
But for you and me?
This is actually good news…
Because regular story-driven emails are one of the most effective ways to build trust fast.
Case in point:
I put out a brand new high-ticket offer to my list recently…
Where I help you duplicate the Tiny Book Funnel I’ve been using to grow my list with paid ads.
(Including the creation of the book + writing and building out the funnel)
I wasn’t sure whether there’d be any interest.
Yet I had over 20 people raise their hands and was collecting cash just a few days later…
Without getting on sales calls with anyone.
Which, for someone like me who’d rather get a root canal than sell stuff over Zoom…
.. is a dream come true lol
That’s the power of Email Storyselling in action.
Anyway, an important consideration if you’re looking to thrive in this new “trust recession.”

P.S:
Next week, I’m publishing the Email Storyselling Playbook on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback format.
There’s a good chance you’ve already got a PDF copy…
But for anyone who grabs a copy on Amazon next week…
I’ll be sending out a special behind-the-scenes breakdown of the ads I’ve used to sell 500+ copies of the book over the last few months.
If you’re looking to grow your list, you won’t wanna miss this ;)
Plus the Kindle version will only be 99 cents.
Stay tuned for more.
