travel junkie

Full disclosure:

I’m in Chicago this week hanging out with my two business partners.

Highly recommend prioritizing time IRL for anyone who’s got partners in other parts of the world.

There’s simply no substitute for physical proximity.

Anyhow, last night, we did what has quickly become one of our Windy City traditions…

Seeing a show at the Chicago Magic Lounge:

Great cocktails + amazing magic?

Name a more iconic duo.

I’ll wait 😜

Lol

That aside, so far in 2025, I’ve also been to Ottawa, Cancun and NYC…

I’m headed to a Caribbean island called St. Maarten for a boys trip in a couple of weeks…

My wife and I just booked a 2-week vacation in Spain for the fall…

And I’ll probably find a way to squeeze another trip or two in there before year’s end.

In other words, I am a degenerate travel junkie lol

Now, for the record:

I don’t have kids or a dog or a mortgage.

But that’s by design.

I got clear very early on about where travel fit into my priorities…

And proceeded to design both my life and my business around that.

My advice to you is to do the same.

Be intentional about it.

This is why I’ve chosen paid ads as my acquisition channel…

Because once you get ‘em working, they can run 24/7 and free you up to work on other aspects of the business.

You don’t have to be posting content or engaging with a bunch of other creators every day.

And, it’s why I’ve chosen a daily newsletter as my channel for relationship building.

Because all it takes is simple plain-text emails like this to develop an incredibly profitable bond with your audience.

You don’t have to be on camera or pump out perfectly polished prose every day.

So whether or not you share my addiction to passport stamps…

My appetite for short-notice getaways…

Or my affinity for a glass of pre-flight prosecco in the airport lounge…

Your business model should be optimized to reflect your values.

Not the other way around.

Some food for thought :)
