Fun fact:

I recently finished reading a novel called "Authority" (the second book in the Southern Reach series) where they briefly touch on the concept of "terroir" in winemaking.

In case you're not familiar… 

Terroir refers to how a region's climate, soils, and terrain affect the taste of wine.

French winemakers have known this for centuries: 

No two patches of land can produce the exact same wine due to subtle differences in growing conditions…

Meaning:

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley will taste different than one from Bordeaux. 

Even if the winemakers follow identical processes.

Because the environment shapes the end product.

And the same principle applies to your list:

The type of content you publish calibrates your subscribers' expectations and what they'll respond to.

If you feed them nothing but hard-value tactical content once a week…

Then they'll expect free "how-to" information every time you press send… 

And it'll be extremely tough to harvest any profits unless you've got a big list (think 20k+ subscribers).

Because many of these folks will object when you send a sales email…

(god forbid you actually try to SELL something, lol)

…and they’ll complain if you try mailing more often.

This is super frustrating for anyone who puts real effort into delivering quality content to their audience.

It’s almost as if they think you’re running a charity and have no right to profit from your hard work and expertise.

But on the flipside…
