did gen z kill the marketing funnel?

Andre Chaperon shared an interesting article last week on how Gen Z may have killed the traditional marketing funnel.
Based on new research…
It appears that instead of following the usual linear path where they see an ad or post, then take action… Gen Z takes a different road to buying.
First, they see something on social media that catches their eye…
But instead of taking action directly…
They hop over to Google to do their own research...
Before finally making a purchase decision based on what THEY find... not what YOU show them.
Now, I’m not quite ready to accept this premise hook, line and sinker just yet…
Because many people DO still buy directly from an ad.
That said:
I have observed this pattern with my own marketing.
Sometimes people see my ads... but instead of buying through them...
They Google me first, read some of my past emails on my website, and end up purchasing through those instead.
I can track this activity because I use unique URLs for every email I send.
Point is:
This is why I recommend publishing your emails to your website after you’ve sent them out.
This way, they can rank in search engines…
And show up for people doing their homework on you.
Essentially, it’s a way to let your past work continue selling for you.
However:
If your emails suck, it won't matter much if they rank or not.
Because they won't lead to sales.
This is where my new Email Storyselling MBA product comes in.
Inside, I'll show you how to master the art & science of Email Storyselling so you can make consistent sales from your newsletter or email list…
Even if you're not a natural writer or storyteller.
So whether people find you through ads, social media, or search engines...
You'll have the skills to turn that attention into sales on command.
Now, the product is not cheap, of course.
But as with so many things in life and business…
You get what you pay for.
Anyhow, if you're ready to develop the skills you need to turn your newsletter into an ATM machine in 2025…
