client work confession

Something really cool happened last week:
A former client named Justin Moore sent me a copy of his new book.
It’s called Sponsor Magnet.
(you may have seen the email I sent out about it)
It teaches creators how to attract, price, and execute their dream brand partnerships.
Anyway, to be clear:
I had nothing to do with the creation of the book.
(which is amazing, btw)
Our work together was focused on converting his cohort-based Brand Deal Wizard course into an on-demand offer he can sell 24/7.
But what’s so awesome about this is…
He wrote me a note on the inside:
Reading this note made me feel really friggin good 🙂
Essentially, the work we did together helped create space in a small but meaningful way for him to write the book.
And to be holding proof of that fact in my hands…
Well, it’s pretty awesome.
And I wanted to share it because…
The allure of making semi-passive income from selling digital products can be intoxicating at times.
After all…
Who doesn’t want to drink margaritas while watching the Stripe notifications stream in?
It sounds pretty great.. because it IS pretty great.
You can and should pursue it.
But there’s something really special about being hands-on in another person’s life or business…
To the point where you have a measurable impact on it.
It’s a feeling you’ll be hard pressed to find from selling DIY online courses.
So even though you may be exploring the digital product path to get OUT of client work…
It’s tough to top the impact you can have from getting your hands dirty.
Something to chew on…
Happy Wednesday ✌️

P.S:
Next week, I’m publishing the Email Storyselling Playbook on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback format.
There’s a good chance you’ve already got a PDF copy…
But for anyone who grabs a copy on Amazon next week…
I’ll be sending out a special behind-the-scenes breakdown of the ads I’ve used to sell 500+ copies of the book over the last few months.
If you’re looking to grow your list, you won’t wanna miss this ;)
Plus the Kindle version will only be 99 cents.
Stay tuned for more.
