3 ways to position your "thank you page" offer

This week has been all about Thank You Page offers.

Now that I’ve made the case for why every newsletter publisher needs a Thank You Page offer…
The obvious question is:
What’s the best way to position your Thank You Page offer for conversions?
Because it does require some finesse.
If someone’s just joined your newsletter or signed up to get your lead magnet…
You can’t just say:
“Thanks - now wanna buy this other thing??”
You need a smooth transition.
And even though new subscribers aren’t paying to join your newsletter…
Treating your Thank You Page offer like an upsell is the secret to good positioning.
Here are 3 ways to do it:

1) More of what you just got
The first way is to offer someone more of what they just got.
Paid newsletters fall into this category.
If someone has just signed up for your free newsletter…
They’re likely to be interested in hearing from you more often or getting access to higher-quality content reserved for paid subs.
2) Get results faster
The second way is to offer them a path to get results faster.
For example:
If you publish a newsletter on how to use Notion, you could offer them a pack of pre-built templates, which would save them time vs learning how to create them from scratch.
3) The next logical step
The third and final way is to offer them the logical next step.
Another way to think about this is “solving the next problem.”
This is the route I took with my Thank You Page offer.
A good example:
Let’s say your lead magnet is a social media content checklist.
A next logical step might be a 30-day content calendar or a profile audit.

That’s it.
Any one of these can work.
So figure out which one makes the most sense for your newsletter, and start testing it.
