What is a Lifestyle Creator Business?

Here’s my definition:

A lifestyle creator business is a vehicle that makes it possible for you to live your “perfect day” every day.

Whatever that means for you.

Good days are the atomic unit of a good life.

So whether it’s getting up at 5 AM and grinding to build your empire…

Or rolling out of bed whenever you want and only working for a few hours…

The objective of your lifestyle creator business is to create the space for as many “perfect days” as possible.

However much money and free time it takes.

Now, let’s explore the 3 macronutrients you need to do that.

1) Content

First things first:

If you want to build a following on the internet, then you need content.

Content can be defined as:

Thoughts, ideas, advice, or opinions made freely available for other people to consume.

This can be written, audio, or video.

Point is, content is how many people will discover you.

In time, these people coalesce into an audience that validates (or rejects) your ideas.

And depending on how seductive your content is…

Some will develop a desire to go deeper into your world.

That’s where the next macronutrient comes in.

2) Copy

Copy is just content with a different objective.

It’s not optimized for consumption…

Instead, it’s optimized to get readers to take the next step.

This might be signing up for your newsletter, buying your online course, or joining your coaching program.

Now here’s the part many creators miss:

Without a dedicated persuasive argument, you’ll struggle to harvest the seeds planted by your content.

Even among those who have a desire to go deeper.

“Soft sells” (like a call to action in the P.S of your post or email) will catch a few of them…

But if you want to build a lucrative creator business…

That doesn’t require you to work 12 hours a day….

Or build a massive audience a la Justin Welsh, Dan Koe, or Kylie Jenner…

Then you need to convert a much higher percentage of your followers.

Which brings us to the 3rd and final macronutrient…

3) Offers

Think of offers as North Stars for your copy:

They give you a fixed point to lead your followers toward.

The pot of gold at the end of your ad, email, post, or sales page.

But offers are not products.

- Products are what someone gets
- Offers are the wrapper you put around them

Products are static, while offers are dynamic.

And you should be experimenting with them constantly, based on market feedback.

Knowing how to manipulate levers like price, terms, timing, bonuses, and positioning give you another way to convert more followers.

And as we’ve established…

This is a must to reach escape velocity with your creator business.

Once these 3 building blocks are in place, something magical happens.

Customers & Clients Become an Emergent Property in a Healthy Creator Business

Let’s not forget:

Your creator business is nothing without customers & clients.

Ultimately, these people form the backbone of your business and make your dream life possible.

But in order for these folks to emerge…

You need all 3 macronutrients.

They form the system for turning strangers into followers into people who pay you, predictably and consistently.

And this is the foundation for a life made up of as many “perfect days” as possible.

Putting It All Together

3 macronutrients of a lifestyle creator business:

  • Content

  • Copy

  • Offers

When these 3 things are in place, customers & clients become an emergent property.

That’s it.
