2 ways to come up with endless email newsletter ideas

Quick life update:
I’m in Mexico City on vacation this week.
I took a hot air balloon ride over the Teotihuacan pyramid complex at the crack of dawn this morning…
Which was equal parts thrilling and terrifying lol
Worth it for the view though :)
Then I’m meeting up with a client for dinner later this evening.
I’ve been writing for him going on 3 years now, yet we’ve never met in person.
And it just so happens he lives here.
So I’m really looking forward to breaking bread tortillas with him.
Anyway, all that aside, one thing I’ve always noticed about traveling is how it stimulates new ideas.
There’s just something about being in a different environment…
And being flooded with new sights, sounds & smells…
That gets the creative juices flowing.
Which is always a welcome surprise…
Because coming up with newsletter ideas can be a struggle sometimes.
Even if you’re only publishing once a week.
Let alone more often than that.
I remember when I started writing daily emails for clients back in 2018…
I realized I had to systematize my ideation somehow.
Otherwise, I’d never be able to pump out 5-7+ high-quality emails per client each week.
That’s what drove me to create the “Story Bank.”
It’s a simple exercise I’ve used ever since to catalog email newsletter ideas.
So I’m never stuck wracking my brain to come up with something on the fly…
Instead, I just pull something from my Story Bank.
